A man in Brunswick County was arrested in the Holden Beach area over the weekend for his involvement in multiple break-ins during the last month. Eighteen year old Brandon Evans faces up twenty counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in addition to a number of other charges. Authorities say a number of community leads led to Evans arrest.
Deputies have also arrested a man from South Carolina for an armed robbery that occurred in the Supply area last week. Last Thursday August fourth, twenty four year old John Seward allegedly entered an occupied home on Junction Way in Supply. The suspect was reportedly carrying a hand gun and led the resident into the master bedroom and demanded the money from her purse. Deputies were able to locate Seward and took him into custody at a Gas Station on Kirby Road. He is charged with felony breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
